OMNI 7000 Flow Computer

The OMNI 7000 Series flow computer is a universal measurement and control device designed for industrial data gathering and processing. Built on 20+ years of metrology experience, the OMNI 7000 is designed for modularity and expansion, with today's measurement application needs in mind. It easily fits into metering, flow, valve control, and control system architecture, while providing the quality and reliability expected from OMNI Flow Computers.

The SSL security platform, enhanced USB and Ethernet connectivity, and innovative audit trail functionality provide best-in-class performance for superior custody transfer and measurement needs. The OMNI 7000 complements existing measurement infrastructure and paves the way for future growth.

New Features
  • Communications

    • Alarms, reports, and data archives provided by email if connected by Ethernet. Measurement information can be provided in PDF files or SMS text messages for many popular cellular networks.

  • Security

    • SSL encryption as used for online banking. 64 permission levels on each database point for precise and secure user access control. Unique user IDs and serial port security based on access permissions and passwords.

  • Audit/Traceability

    • Every database change is logged: serial, network, and keypad. Traceability maintained by "system" and "measurement" logs large enough to hold months of data on even the busiest systems.

  • User Modbus Mapping

    • Select the built-in Modbus mapping or remap the database in multiple configurations, including translating data types. Each access port is selectable to use the internal mapping or one of the user configurable maps.

  • High-Performance Connectivity

    • 10/100Base-T Ethernet compatibility, dual onboard RJ-45 connectors, and 2 independent serial ports. Multi-socket support and network printing for each Ethernet port.

  • USB Functionality

    • 2 USB ports: Save configuration, download archives and reports, or flash the front panel or CPU firmware. One type-A standard USB connector and one Mini-B USB connector.

  • Digital I/O

    • Provides on-board digital inputs and outputs. Allows for expansion to terminal boards providing up to 256 additional inputs/outputs. Also provides over-current protection, detection, and reporting. Expansion boards can be interfaced to two masters for redundant flow computer operation.

  • 6 Meter Run Capability

    • Expansion of the flow measurement capability to 6 meter runs.

  • 4.3" (109.22mm) Color LCD Display

    • High-resolution 256-color graphics display with simplified keypad and function keys for ease of navigation and display.

  • Web Server

    • The Dual Ethernet card contains an integrated web server, allowing connectivity to the OMNI 7000 using any standard web browser. Browse live data, retrieve reports, and configure the flow computer.
